Technical Interview

What is Tech interview ?

It is the second phase of your selection process. Those who successfully qualify in phase 1 ( aptitude and verbal ability ) are allowed to appear in technical interview round. It is not the last round because it is followed by managerial round and H.R. interview round.

In this round you are interviewed by a technical personnel of the company. The term "technical" is not strict to his/her job because he/she may be at a managerial position in the company. { obviously he/she must be on a higher position if the company thinks he/she is eligible for selecting employees for them so don't assume he is normal graduate who got selected last year :) rather assume he is an expert working for at least 5 years or more  }

The term "technical" is about the background of this person. That means he is an engineer ( in most of the cases ) and most probably a post graduate (M.Tech./M.E.). That means you must be extra careful while answering him because not only he has some experience but he also shares your background and knows what students do in their college life and how good/bad they are at learning practical aspects of a subject rather than mugging theory.

And last, but not the least thing to remember is that there were at least 2 and at most 4 interviewers present in the Technical interview panel. And as per general observed rule one of them  must be CS/IT person and the other (2 or 3) interviewer may belong to different branches.

Questions asked are generally basic and not so deep. But this is the case of non CS/IT candidates. If you are CS/IT then they will expect more from you, so be prepared.

So the golden rule is Do Not Lie !!

This is your first interview and not theirs.
